A second rescue operation in the mountains above Bansko. Rescue teams are searching for two people after a second avalanche, said NOVA. Earlier today there was a second avalanche. A 36-year-old snowboarder fell into a furrow in the area near Bansko, the snow gave in and there was an avalanche which buried the man.
Rescue teams went to the area right away and after a rescue operation that lasted several hours, they rescued the snowboarder. The rescuers saw his snowboard which was visible above the fallen snow. The man was found unconscious and had swollen his tongue. The rescue team managed to resuscitate him and he was alive when given to the cares of a medical team.
Because of the two avalanches the highest security alert has been announced for the ski area.
