Tourists and lovers of theater, already enjoying the Summer Theatre Festival ” to the spectators – with love”. In Ray Cooney’s comedy “Insane Night” festival started on Wednesday evening in Bansko. The play of Valentin Tanev was played to a full audience in “Nikola Vaptsarov” hall.
“This week Bansko is a theater. This time we tried to have the biggest names of Bulgarian theater on our stage. The holidays are here and will be here because we have you – dear audience” with these words the mayor Georgi Ikonomov gave a start to theater holidays. On Friday summer evening, the audience will enjoy the titans of Bulgarian theater Vasil Mihaylov and his elegant partner Stefka Yanorova in “Brudershaft”. The author of the play is one of the most staged contemporary playwrights Anatoly Crimea and for its participation Vasil Mihaylov was awarded with prize for Best Actor at the Winter theater festival “Scene, Palette, and Speech” in Plovdiv. The program will continue with the new production directed by Boyko Iliev “Rite of Spring”. The show was created by Iliev on work of Chris Griynhalch. Dedicated to the love between composer Igor Stravinsky and fashion icon Coco Chanel, “Rite of Spring” will meet two of the most successful contemporary Bulgarian actresses – Paraskeva Djukelova and Yoanna Bukovska.
On July 7 will be the last theatrical delight for this year’s theater evenings. Assen Blatechki stars in the new romantic comedy “Eye for rent.” In the role of inept private investigator, disorganized, pathetic, but actually very nice, he will put the finishing touches on a perfect, beautiful and funny story in partnership with Stefan Ivanov Iva Papazova.
