Bansko News: Bansko with 10 races from the BFSki calendar

Bansko has one more time a leading position on the calendar of the Bulgarian Ski Federation – 9 out of 21 races during the upcoming season in the most popular white sport will be held in Bulgaria’s Best Ski Resort. 5 starts will take place in Borovets, 4 in Pamporovo, 2 in Osogovo and 1 in the mountain over Dobrinishte.

The racing season will start and finish in Bansko. It will begin traditionally with the Ulen Cup on December 18th and 19th, where women and men will gather FIS points and on the second day the juniors will compete in slalom and giant slalom for the same trophy.

Then comes the season highlight – the women’s starts for the FIS Ski World Cup on January 25th and 26th, 2020 and 24 hours later the national championship in speed disciplines will take place.

On February 3rd and 4th kids will compete in the the 22nd edition of the Kapi Cup – the second run will close the racing season on April 2nd.

The competitive season for men and women will end with the national championship in technical disciplines on March 28th and 29thfollowed by the oldest ski race in Bulgaria – Pirin Cup (March 30th and 31st). The national Super G race for U14 and U16 is scheduled for the first day of April.
