Bansko is selected by the International Ski Federation to host the competitions of FIS Alpine Ski World Cup for ladies on February 28, 2015 when Ladies Super G will take place and on March 1, 2015 when the Ladies Alpine combined (SG) will take place.

That is not the first time when Basnko is a host of such important events. Actually, the town hosted four World Cups and already has a reputation of a resort that traditionally hosts different rounds of the World Cup races. Basko resort will also host World Cup for men next year for the winter season of 2016 – 2017.

More than 30,000 attendees are expected to visit the resort this winter to watch in live the famous FIS World Cup Alpine skiing for ladies. This number is predicted by the organizers and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. More than 1,000 people are involved in the organization of this event, as skiing is a priority in Bulgaria. Accomodation For Teams
All of the participants will be accommodated at the 4-star Strazhite hotel and other luxury hotels in Bansko. The hotel provides all meals, transportation desk, main race office, meeting room for team captains, accreditation office, waxing rooms and shuttle buses to the Gondola stations. Team captains will get their accreditations at the Strazhite Hotel Race Office.
