Bulgarians returning from the US and Canada to welcome the new 2016 in Bansko. Reservations running at full steam, but can still find free beds. The winter resort will become a modern Babylon because there will celebrate Bulgarians, neighbors from Greece, Romania, Serbia, Macedonia and Turkey, tourists from England and Russia. More than 15 000 people will celebrate New Year 2016 in Bansko.

“The British and Russian citizens traditionally visit Bansko for New Year holidays. Many of them have properties here. They come to spend the holidays here and remain for at least one week. Guests will be enough, around 20 000, the problem is that at the moment there is no snow. We are expecting to visit us and Bulgarians from the US and Canada” said the president of the Union of Тourism in Bansko Malin Bistrin.

In peak season prices are high, but every customer knows it. In three star hotels the night in a double room costs between 100 and 120 leva with breakfast for two included in the price. Most reservations are for four nights – from 30 December to 3 January. The price per person goes between 300 and 350 leva with the solemn dinner that goes from 60 to 100 leva depending on the category of the site and from the menu. The luxurious hotel complexes – 4 and 5 stars, this service is 450 500 leva. They, however, enjoy free and many extras – Spa treatments, Sauna, Jacuzzi and Steam bath.

“For us, the New Year is like the peak season. And we will try to provide the ultimate experience for our guests. On the 1-st of January will draw a sparkling red wine with pig meat with homemade sausages and traditional blood sausages. Our goal all along to start the New Year with great mood and unforgettable emotions” said Malin Bistrin.

The hotels have vans to transport clients not only to the Pirin Mountains, but some of the sights in the region. Ready at the request of the tourists to take them to the mineral water pools in Banya and Dobrinishte and to equestrian centers in the region. “Upon request, there is no problem to take them even to the temple of Vanga in Rupite and Rila Monastery. But there is not so great interest in these places because they are far away. The purpose of visitors is to relax and have fun, not to lose their time in traveling” said hoteliers.
