The Prime minister Borissov inaugurates a Regional depot for household waste in Razlog

The depot for household waste will serve more than 60 000 residents of the four municipalities of Razlog, Bansko, Yakoruda, and Belitsa.

The inauguration ribbon was cut by Bulgaria’s prime minister Boyko Borissov, the minister of regional development and urbanization Lilyana Pavlova, the minister of Environment and waters Ivelina Vassileva, the governor of Blagoevgrad region Bisser Mihaylov, the mayor of Razlog engineer Krassimir Gerchev, the mayor of Bansko Georgi Ikonomov, and the deputy-mayor of Razlog Ivan Gurov.

Mr. Boyko Borissov said that after the new depot is put into operation, the whole area will become cleaner and more appealing for tourists thanks to its unique nature and location between Pirin, Rila and the Rodopi mountains.

The depot provides the solution to a major ecological problem. Its functioning will lead to better living conditions for the residents of the four municipalities, and will facilitate the development of the tourist industry by providing better conditions for the guests of the region, said mayor Gerchev. Razlog municipality is ready to launch a project for rehabilitating the old household waste depot.
